Oh Honey....
When you think of bees, your thoughts inevitably turn
to honey. Honey should not just be used on special occassions, enjoy
the
natural goodness of Bee Well Honey every
day!
Studies suggest that a tablespoon of local honey each day may
actually help some people who suffer from nasal allergies.
During a visit to the store you may be able to see
the honey being bottled by our staff. Large stainless steel tanks hold
Wildflower, Sourwood, Echinacea and Orange Blossom
honey. This raw, unfiltered honey is bottled into 16 oz skeps, 12 oz
bears, pints
and quarts using an automatic bottling machine. Honey is then
stored in a climate controlled room until
it is
delivered to area retailers.
Bees collect nectar from many floral sources and sometimes
they will concentrate on a single species of plant during a short time
frame. This results in several varieties of honey that have a
distinctive flavor such as Sourwood or Orange Blossom. On
a
visit to the store, you will be able to sample several
varieties of honey and decide
which sweet treat you want to take home. You may decide to purchase a
jar of each !
If you have a preference for the basic
sweet taste of Wildflower honey or the distinctive Sourwood honey of
our region, you will find various sizes of each on our
shelves.
