Honey Secrets from the hive

bee     "Things you should know about honey "

Not all honey tastes the same......

Honey is made from plant nectars collected by the bees.  The chemistry of nectars differ among different plant flowers. The resulting honey  tastes slightly different.  Some folks prefer the taste of sourwood with its distinctive flavor, others prefer the sweet tangy Orange Blossom and some crave the flavorful Wildflower which is a mixture of many different plant nectars and the recommended honey for someone using honey as a treatment for allergies.  Dark honey actually has more healthy antioxidants and minerals than light honey though some people prefer the lighter varieties.

My honey is getting thick and chunky !! ....

Your honey is fine.  It is going through a process known as crystallization.  This is a natural process that happens to all pure honey.  Some varieties will crystallize fast and others slowly over time.   The solution is to place your container of honey in a bath of hot (not boiling) water for several minutes.  The product will reliquify and be ready to enjoy again.

Why buy Raw Unfiltered honey ?...

Bee Well Honey is raw unfiltered honey that is not fine filtered or pasturized.  Avoiding those  processes allows the benefical enzymes, yeasts, pollens and bit of propolis to remain in the honey producing a healthier more natural product.

Isnt all honey the same ? ....

No.  Many of the  honey brands on your grocery shelves will not be pure honey.  They often contain corn syrup and other fillers and many come from outside the United States.     Please support your country and American Farmers by buying only American Honey.
