Becoming a Beekeeper

Beekeeping is a fascinating endeavor.  Beginners will benefit greatly by research on the internet and reading a book like : "1st Lessons in Beekeeping" by Keith S. DeLaplane (Dadant Publishing).  You should also find a local beekeeping club ( or join together with others who share your interest and start one) .  Some clubs offer mentors to help beginners.
